May 24, 2001. Ocean Marine Yacht Center was proud to welcome Capt. David Bear and his wife Dorothy as our first transient guest's. On their way up from Florida, they were in route to Connecticut, where they are having some routine maintainence done to the 60-foot trawler, "Salmagundi". After finishing the work on the boat, they will be leaving in August for a trip north, where they will travel the "Great Circle Route" ending up in the Bahamas next fall. Our thanks go out to David and Dorothy for being our first guests, and we look forward to having them back on their return trip.
